Celebrate Independence Day at the final home of Virginia’s first governor!
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets to choose your spot on the lawn comfortably. Before enjoying a fantastic fireworks display, grab a bite to eat from one of our many on-site food vendors, enjoy face painting for the kids, hear incredible live music, and tour Patrick Henry’s home, grave, and museum. Please bring cash as internet access is limited.

Itinerary
4:00 pm: Festivities begin. Grounds open, tours of the historic buildings, food available for purchase from vendors, face-painting, live music by the Brown Brothers, kids’ games, a museum, and gift shop.
4:00–8:00 pm: NEW! Meet Patrick Henry’s grandson, Patrick Henry Fontaine, in the Henry house.
4:30 & 6:00 pm: Guided tours of Quarter Place.
7:00 pm: Gravestone dedication by the Sons of the American Revolution to mark newly discovered burials in the Henry family cemetery.
8:00 pm: Patrick Henry’s fifth great-grandson, Patrick Henry Jolly, performs “Give me liberty or give me death!” and reads the Declaration of Independence.
9:00 pm: Gate closes. *No entry after this time.*
9:15 pm: Fireworks display begins.
9:30 pm: Festivities end.
