About the talk:

What mysteries lie beneath the familiar story of Red Hill? Lucy Gray Henry Harrison grew up surrounded by the history of her famous family, but her own life carried her far beyond her ancestral home. Her marriage to Matthew Bland Harrison, a self-made millionaire, ended with his sudden death and left Lucy to forge a new path. In 1904, she purchased Red Hill and began reshaping the estate, but the devastating fire of 1919 changed it forever. Surviving letters, legal records, photographs, and recent discoveries bring Lucy’s world to focus and raise new questions about the woman who fought to secure Red Hill’s future.
