My name is Lucia Butler, and I’m a Visitor Center Associate here at Red Hill. I grew up in Arizona but have lived in Virginia for several years now, and I’m a 2020 graduate of the College of William & Mary. In college, I studied Anthropology and French, and ended up falling in love with archaeology after my experiences in the field and lab introduced me to the excitement of learning about human history through objects and sites. This interest led me to join the team at Red Hill this summer, where I am thrilled to be able to learn about and introduce visitors to the site’s rich history. You can find me in the Visitor Center, where I handle gift shop sales and help orient guests to Red Hill and Patrick Henry’s life. In my free time, I love reading (mostly fiction), baking (mostly cookies), and hiking (mostly with friends).
