Cole has been well-acquainted with Patrick Henry, as he was born and raised on Patrick Henry’s Long Island estate in Campbell County. He is an alumnus of Central Virginia Community College and Averett University (MBA). He is also a Certified Microsoft Systems Engineer and Air Force veteran, serving in Electronics and Communications support for Apollo Nine, Ten, and Eleven.
Before working as a genealogist for Red Hill, Cole worked at Honeywell Information Systems, Digital Equipment Corp., Compaq Computer Systems, and Hewlett Packard.
As the son of Edith Poindexter, Curator and Genealogist at Red Hill for several decades, he helped deploy “The Master Genealogist” software package and watched “Mz P” make it what it is today. His insight was critical to the development of the software package as it evolved through many generations. He anxiously awaits the next generation of genealogy software, “The History Research Environment” software package under development in England, which will further support Patrick Henry’s descendants.
