By the early 1790s when he settled his family at Red Hill in the rolling hills of Charlotte and Campbell Counties overlooking the valley of the Staunton River, Patrick Henry had lived in a dozen other places in the Old Dominion. From Studley Plantation in Hanover County, where Henry was born in 1736, to Williamsburg and Richmond during his five terms as governor, and finally to Red Hill where he is buried in 1799, the places that Henry called home comprise a residential pilgrimage through central and southern Virginia. By telling the stories of the houses, churches, and public buildings that Henry frequented, historian Mark Couvillon provides a fascinating and thoroughly researched look at a great American patriot and his beloved country. ~Jon Kukla
