About the talk:

Part II of Love & Legacy at Red Hill centers on the marriages and family lives of the enslaved men and women who lived at Red Hill. This program examines the documented unions of Harrison and Milly Henry and Harry and Matilda Pannell, tracing their lives from slavery through emancipation and into the twentieth century.

 

 

 

 

About the speaker:

Courtney Hollingsworth brings her passion for history to the Red Hill team as a Collections Specialist and, through her work in the Visitor Center, engages guests on the history of Patrick Henry and Red Hill. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology with a focus in archaeology from California State University, San Bernardino. During her leisure, she delves into genealogy, tends to her garden, and enjoys time with her corgi and four cats.
