Join Patrick Henry’s Red Hill and members of the descendant community for a day of remembrance. The Annual Quarter Place Tribute honors the lives and legacies of the enslaved and free African Americans connected to Red Hill and their descendants.

Doors open and registration begins at 10:00 am with an opportunity to speak with partner museums, organizations, and vendors tabling on the grounds.

Presentations begin at 11:00 am and include an opening ceremony at Quarter Place Cemetery, where 147 enslaved and free African Americans are buried. Hear research updates and genealogy discoveries from our research staff.

A banquet luncheon will be provided free of charge following the ceremony at the Quarter Place Cemetery.
