Hello!
My name is Rona Collins. I am currently employed as a Visitor Center Associate at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill. My duties include welcoming our guests to Red Hill (one of the garden spots of the world), showing them around, and sharing my knowledge of our American Patriot, Patrick Henry. I also help my team members with office duties and special events. I have found my true passion here at Red Hill.
I was born and raised in New York. I have been here in Virginia for the past 10 years and have been employed with the Halifax South Boston Public Libraries. I have worked at the Berry Hill Plantation, as a youth director at my church, and I am a 4H leader with our Halifax 4H. I have recently finished serving my four terms with AmeriCorps members serving in my community.
Outside of the Visitor Center I enjoy visiting my three children in Los Angeles, California and I hope soon to visit my active military son in Alaska. I have been blessed with my first grandchild Declan Arthur James Briggs.
I reside at the Good Hope therapeutic riding school and regenerative farm where I enjoy volunteering. They have a beautiful organic blueberry field. I enjoy spending time on the farm walking my dog–sometimes even my cat follows. I like riding horses with my youth students and spending time with my friends.
