Tarleton’s Southside Raid by Col Greg Eanes

$10.00

Banastre Tarleton!  The very name struck fear in the hearts of men familiar with the legend of Tarleton’s Quarter.  This book is a definitive history of British Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton’s raid throughout southern Virginia (July 9-24, 1781) to destroy Virginia and Continental supply depots at the Amelia Court House, Prince Edward Court House, Charlotte Court House, and New London in present-day Campbell County. It was in this raid that the legendary Peter Francisco single-handedly engaged nine of Tarleton’s Dragoons near present-day Crewe. The work is based on official records, period correspondence, and regional oral traditions.
