Summary: Patrick Henry’s Red Hill is seeking a part-time Visitor Center Associate who will serve as the first point of contact with visitors to Red Hill. They will greet visitors and provide orientation, answer questions, monitor the phones, and handle gift shop sales. In addition, they will track visitors to ensure accurate visitation reporting. They will also assist with on-site public and school programs, including field days and group tours. The associate must be a team player and willing to assist with office duties as needed.
The associate must be available for weekends and all Red Hill events. The candidate must be detailed oriented, friendly, self-motivated and professional, able to multi-task and be able to stand for extended periods of time. The associate will represent themselves and Red Hill in a professional and polite manner and ensure visitors have a positive and enjoyable experience. At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiasm about Red Hill’s mission and values
Must be able to work some weekends, holidays, and special events
Coursework or equivalent experience in fields such as history, public history, museum studies, archaeology, and historic preservation.
Proficient in technology including point-of-sale and Microsoft office.
