EIGHTH ANNUAL GOVERNOR
HENRY LECTURE
The Mind of a Patriot: Patrick Henry and the World of
Ideas
Kevin
J. Hayes, Professor of English at the University of
Central Oklahoma, will present the Eighth Annual Governor
Henry Lectures at Charlotte Court House on Saturday,
May 3, and again at the Library of Virginia on Monday,
May 5, 2008.

NATURALIZATION CEREMONY
Join us on the beautiful grounds of Patrick Henry’s
Red Hill as we welcome dozens of citizens from around
the world who make the choice and take the oath to become
newly sworn citizens of the United States of America.
Arrive prior to the ceremony and learn from interpreters
who will be demonstrating spinning, weaving, colonial
medicine and other 18th century arts and trades. Seating
for the ceremony begins at 10:30 AM. The court proceedings
and ceremony begin promptly at 11 AM.
