The Patrick Henry Auxiliary was formed in
1982 to support the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation of Red
Hill in its endeavor to promote the philosophy and contributions
of Patrick Henry. Patrick Henry was America's "son of the
Revolution" and Virginia's first elected governor.
Activities of the Auxiliary

- Guide groups, schoolchildren and
adults, on tours of Red Hill
- Interpret 18th century life on
Days of Living History
- Craft and sell boxwood wreaths
- Participate in annual quilt-making
fund-raiser
- Assist in the quarterly newsletter
mailing
- Host the annual Red Hill Christmas
Open House
- Participate in special events such
as Fall Harvest and Naturalization Ceremony
- Lend support for various foundation
functions including the Annual Governor Henry Lectures
- Assist with sales in the Museum
Shop
- Staff historic buildings during
Independence Day celebration and other special events
- Sponsor the annual Patrick Henry
Oratory competition of the National Forensic League

When you join the Patrick Henry
Auxiliary, you're making a commitment to support the Patrick
Henry Memorial Foundation. You are committing to...
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings
(currently the Auxiliary monthly eight times a year)
- Give two hours every other month
or several hours each month... you choose how often you
can lend a helping hand
- Pay annual dues of $10
- Participate in fund-raising activities
of the Auxiliary
